CSR Photo Exhibit

 

The AmCham Foundation aims to acknowledge the efforts of these organizations, and also to inspire and encourage other organizations to establish or enhance their own CSR initiatives.

AmCham Foundation, started implementing the following CSR activities since 2007:  

  1. Hold a regular CSR Forum for member companies in order to be able to feature the work of selected member companies and exchange ideas. 
  2. AmCham CSR Week every 3rd week of April aims to generate a greater appreciation of the contribution and impact of the American business to community development. To highlight the celebration there will be a Photo Exhibit of CSR activities of member companies to create higher esprit de corps among the employees of participating member companies especially the volunteer employees and the community involved in the activity
  3. The CSR Excellence Awards every two years aims to recognize and honor the corporations that have implemented outstanding and innovative CSR projects or programs, and have realized that the business of doing good is, in fact, the heart of good business.

The award is divided into the following categories

    1. Ensuring a Safe and Clean Environment
      This award recognizes the company who best incorporates environmental concerns towards the improvement of safety and/or cleanliness within the company or in supported communities.
    2. Improving Quality and Access to Education
      This award recognizes the best company initiatives that succeed in improving quality and access to education, including the following: improvement in students' test scores, increase in the effectiveness of instruction methods and materials, increase in student completion rates.
    3. Delivering Equitable Healthcare
      This award will be given to the company who best contributes to the equitable distribution of health care, including proper nutrition, health education, personal safety and women's reproductive health
    4. Creating Sustainable Livelihood
      This award will honor the projects or programs that upgrade the standard of living of disadvantaged communities and/or sectors through creating livelihood projects or promoting entrepreneurship. Increase in opportunities available, inclusion of underprivileged sectors (women, physically-challenged, aged, etc.), and proven sustainability must be demonstrated.
    5. Special Award - Peace in Conflict-ridden Areas
      This special award recognizes company's effort to instigate and promote peace in conflict-ridden areas in the Philippines. This may include projects that reduce poverty, provide access to basic services and improve the overall well being of those affected by conflicts.

Finally, AmCham Foundation can promote the CSR activities of AmCham members through research, publications and events.
